Our client, an established mental health hospital, is seeking a Director of Clinical Services to lead and inspire their team in delivering exceptional, person-centred care to individuals in their state-of-the-art facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional to make a real difference and be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of care.
As a Director of Clinical Services will play a pivotal role, supporting the Hospital Director in the overall management of the service and ensuring that high-quality care remains at the heart of everything the team does. You will use your clinical expertise, leadership skills, and passion for mental health care to drive improvements, support staff, and positively impact patient outcomes.
What we’re looking for:
- Qualifications and Registration: Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities (RNLD) qualification, with a valid UK NMC Pin.
- Relevant Experience: Previous experience within a managerial role, ideally in a mental health hospital setting.
- Leadership Skills: The ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver exceptional care.
- Proactive Mindset: A proactive, problem-solving approach with a dynamic and supportive leadership style.
Your day-to-day:
- Lead by Example: Set and maintain consistently high standards of care across the hospital.
- Day-to-Day Management: Support the Hospital Director with the operational running of the service.
- Promote Excellence: Oversee professional clinical training, care planning, and support within the hospital.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor registered nurses and support staff, ensuring the delivery of exceptional care.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct clinical audits and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with families, external stakeholders, and other professionals.
- Hands-On Support: Deliver hands-on care when required, including occasional shift work (days, nights, and weekends).
- On-Call Duties: Participate in on-call rotas to provide support when needed.
