Deputy Nursery Manager
Up to £34,000 per year | 40 hours per week

 

Our client is seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to support the smooth running of their nursery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early years care and education and will assist the Nursery Manager in leading a team to deliver high-quality childcare.

 

The nursery is a purpose-built setting designed to foster early learning in a secure and engaging environment. It features age-appropriate rooms for various activities and outdoor areas tailored to different age groups, encouraging exploration and development.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an early years setting.
  • EYFS Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Key Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to Inclusion: A passion for promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in childcare.
  • Desirable Qualifications: First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Support: Assist the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support staff, including training, appraisals, and performance management.
  • Quality Childcare: Ensure the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with EYFS requirements.
  • Inclusive Practices: Promote a diverse and welcoming environment for children, staff, and families.
  • Parental & Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with children, parents, and external partners.
  • Policy & Procedure Implementation: Contribute to the development and execution of nursery policies.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Oversee health and safety measures, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Safeguarding Lead: Take on the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead, championing best practices in child protection.
